Burzynski victory! Cancer doctor battles Texas medical board and comes out on top

(NaturalNews) After engaging in more than 30 years of vicious and relentless persecution, the Texas Medical Board
(TMB) has finally decided to drop its weapons and leave cancer
treatment innovator Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski alone, according to new
reports. The surprising capitulation came after a panel of judges from
the Texas State Office of Administrative Hearings (TSOAH) recently
decided to dismiss the TMB's latest lawsuit against Dr. Burzynski,
ruling that its allegations against him were invalid.

Throughout
the past several years, Dr. Burzynski has had to deflect what seemed
like a never-ending onslaught of accusations that he is somehow breaking
the law by treating cancer patients with his novel antineoplastons
protocol. And for a while there, it seemed as though the medical system
in Texas, backed by the clout and bankroll of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration
(FDA), would eventually win its crusade against Dr. Burzynski by
eventually withdrawing his medical license and shutting down his clinic.

But
the tides appear to have turned, and the TMB seems to have backed off,
at least for now. In a recent letter obtained by consumer advocate Tim
Bolen, Dr. Burzynski's attorney, Rick Jaffe, explains that the TMB's
investigation into Dr. Burzynski slowly came to a grinding halt after
TMB settlement panels back in 2008 first dismissed allegations that Dr.
Burzynski's antineoplastons were outside the proper standard of care.
The TMB refused to back down at the time, and decided to file a formal
complaint against Dr. Burzynski. But that approach also failed.

"On
November 19, 2012, judges of the Texas State Office of Administrative
Hearings dismissed the Texas Medical Board's pending case against Dr.
Burzynski," explained Jaffe in an email to the Bolen Report. "The
cutting-edge, multi-agent gene targeted therapy devised by Dr.
Burzynski which was at the heart of this proceeding is still being given
at the clinic and is helping countless patients."

What made this
all possible is the fact that the TMB no longer has the power to
arbitrarily overturn TSOAH decisions, which has greatly stunted the
group's ability to maliciously target cutting-edge medical
practices like Dr. Burzynski's that it simply does not like. No longer
does the TMB have the same level of power to bully those with which it
disagrees, in other words, which in this case has long been centered on
Dr. Burzynski.

"I'm glad we didn't have to spend three weeks on a trial," added Jaffe. "It would have been a complete waste of time and money."
