American Academy of Pediatrics and Big Pharma Agree: Toxic Mercury in Vaccines Is OK

In a complete reversal
of their 1999 position that the toxic mercury-based preservative known
as Thimerosal be removed from vaccines, the American Academy of
Pediatrics now advocates that Thimerosal be put back in.

In a joint recommendation
with the U.S. Public Health Service in 1999, the AAP stated their
position was that thimerosal should be removed from all vaccines except
the seasonal flu shot, due to the possibility that the preservative was
responsible for neuro-developmental disorders and other adverse health
effects. The FDA subsequently followed the recommendations of the AAP.

However, the AAP has been on a steady march toward greater solidarity
with Big Pharma and the medical establishment in recent years. For
instance, AAP has already recommended that boys should be given the HPV vaccine, despite the fact that they do not have a cervix, and that young children should receive cholesterol screenings, a massive boon to the statin industry.

The AAP has also curiously recommended sugary and additive-filled sports drinks for children, while at the same time maintaining that organic food does not have any more health benefits than the pesticide-ridden genetically modified mass that passes for food on the plates of most Americans.

With its recent recommendation regarding thimerosal, the AAP has firmly
aligned itself with the interests of Big Pharma and the medical
establishment over the concerns of the welfare of children.

The AAP position was made clear when the organization endorsed the World Health Organization (WHO) report issued as a result of the June 2012 GAVCS meeting. The WHO statement
suggests that researchers evaluated the “most recently available
information concerning the safety of thimerosal since it last reviewed
this topic in 2008.” The conclusion, of course, was that thimerosal does
not cause neuro-developmental disorders and that the mercury-laden
preservative is completely safe for use in vaccines.





Interestingly enough, the WHO comes to this conclusion even while the UN Environmental Program is currently working on a treaty
to reduce health risks by banning or minimizing the use of certain
products that release mercury into the environment – particularly,
vaccines that contain thimerosal.

Nevertheless, the WHO report concludes,

Based on the current evidence, GACVS considers that no additional
studies of the safety of thiomersal in vaccines are warranted and that
available evidence strongly supports the safety of the use of thiomersal
as a preservative for inactivated vaccines. GACVS believes that
consideration of additional evidence suggestive of the contrary should
be based on studies using the same high standards of epidemiological and
causal inference needed for scientific research. Thiomersal allows
millions of people worldwide to have access to life-saving vaccines and
to date, no other safer and equally efficacious alternative has been
identified for many vaccines. </blockquote>
In other words, it is the position of the WHO and, subsequently, the
AAP, that thimerosal is safe and any further studies are essentially
purposeless. The decision has been made.

Yet, while the WHO and the AAP seem content to push forward
proclamations regarding obviously toxic chemicals, the fact is that
reality does not shift and contort itself to the wishes of international
bureaucrats and agents of the pharmaceutical cartel.

As I have written
on at least two occasions, the fact that mercury, especially the type
used in vaccines, is hazardous to human health is established fact.
Even the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recognizes this and has
set the toxicity limit of mercury at .1mcg. However, the annual flu shot
contains as much as 25 mcg by virtue of the Thimerosal preservative.
This is 250 times higher than the limit of toxicity set by the EPA.

Nevertheless,
the WHO claims that it reviewed a number of studies conducted since
2008 that pointed to the dangers of thimerosal-containing vaccines.

Predictably, the WHO claims that all of these studies were either disproven or were “methodologically flawed.”

Of course, the WHO does not mention that, out of its thousands of
studies “proving” the safety and effectiveness of vaccines, not one of
them has ever actually proven this assertion that was not connected to a
vaccine maker or a pharmaceutical firm. Apparently, such blatant
conflict of interest is not considered a methodological flaw in the
minds of vaccine pushers.

Clearly, the dangers of mercury exposure are legion, particularly when
applied to young children. The adverse health effects related to mercury
exposure are established fact. That mercury is detrimental to brain function is not up for debate.

Even studies published in medical journals such as Pediatrics demonstrate the clear danger of mercury exposure and the harmful effects on the brain. For instance, in the report entitled, “Technical Report: Mercury in the Environment: Implications for Pediatricians,” the authors wrote,

The developing fetus and young children are thought to be
disproportionately affected by mercury exposure, because many aspects of
development, particularly brain maturation, can be disturbed by the
presence of mercury. Minimizing mercury exposure is, therefore,
essential to optimal child health.</blockquote>
Incredibly, even after publishing material clearly establishing the
risks of mercury exposure, the American Academy of Pediatrics is
endorsing the return of mercury into vaccines, particularly those that
will be used in young children.





If there is any doubt that the medical establishment, Big Pharma, and
the vaccine cartels are one in the same in terms of ideology, that doubt
is easily erased simply by examining the contradictory opinions
presented by organizations like the AAP.
