Beyond the known unknowns of GMOs and cloned beef lie the impending horrors of “schmeat” – a lab-grown in vitro “meat” product, as well as the advent of 3-D printed food. And I thought we already didn’t know what our food was made of.
Readied for eating after years in the making, the advocates of “schmeat” have dubbed it the ‘ethical’ way to eat meat, because it doesn’t involve slaughtering cattle. What it does involve is scraping neck-cells from cows and replicating them thousands of times in a petri dish. Yum! Just like God intended.
And 3-D printed food? Some scientists believe that food goo can be mass printed into edible blocks of edible sustenance and finally ‘feed the world.’ Just what the 3rd world has been begging for – unidentifiable nutrient blocks that kids can play with as they learn to spell acronyms like IMF, WTO, GMO, AGRA, GATT, GAVI, UN, USAID, WB and more. I guess beggars can’t be choosers.
It sounds like the kind of meal served up through a slot in your cell door at a FEMA camp — schmeat served with a side of 3-D food cubes.
The U.N. has worked out a multitude of future scenarios wherein meat will only be accessible to very rich people. So all this talk of “going green” for the environment etc. does NOT apply to the elites or the New World Order gamechangers. They aren’t eating this crap. They just expect us poor plebs to.
Is our future spelled out in Soylent Green? Is science consuming our society in the name of (self-destructing) “progress”?
Here’s to holding onto hope, but don’t expect anyone here to eat this trendy new fodder.
