Virus traces in Fluvax blamed for increase in convulsions, other adverse reactions in children (NaturalNews) A vaccine that was heavily pushed on children both during and after the Great Swine Flu Hoax of 2009, Fluvax is back in the news after CSL Biotherapies, the drug company that makes the vaccine, came forward recently and blamed a manufacturing defect for causing serious adverse reactions in thousands of children around the world that were vaccinated with Fluvax.
Australian Life Scientist reports that a two-year investigation into why Fluvax caused an alarming number of children to experience serious febrile seizures and other frightening side effects has revealed that an exceptionally high number of virus components in the vaccine may be to blame. Nearly one in 100 children, according to the U.S.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) experienced seizures as a result of receiving Fluvax.
It appears as though CSL's splitting process for removing reactive virus components from the finished vaccine product was inadequate, which may explain why many of the children vaccinated with Fluvax experienced heightened immune response. This theory is the explanation CSL is now offering as to why Fluvax harmed a disturbing number of children.
"During the 2010 influenza season in Australia, administration of seasonal influenza TIV (trivalent inactivated vaccine) manufactured for the Southern Hemisphere by CSL Biotherapies (brand names Fluvax Junior and Fluvax) was associated with increased frequency of fever and febrile seizures in children aged six months through four years old," says the CDC.
"The rate of febrile seizures following
Fluvax or Fluvax Junior was estimated at approximately one per 100 doses administered among children aged six months through four years old."
As a result of this incredible failure rate, authorities in Australia withdrew approval for the vaccine in children under five years of age, and is only recommended for children between the ages of five and nine if no other
vaccines are available. But the
Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation is still apparently recommending Fluvax for children 10 years old and older, despite the fact that it is linked to a whopping nine-fold increase in fever and
convulsions.
Meanwhile, CSL still claims it cannot definitively say why Fluvax causes more fevers and seizures than other similar vaccines, all the while denying that there was any defect in the raw materials used to develop it. And many Australian doctors, according to reports, are still administering Fluvax to infants and toddlers despite the ban. (
